Last week Robert Turner, President & CEO of Capitol Financial Solutions traveled to Washington DC to participate in the Financial Services Institute’s (FSI) Capitol Hill Day.
Leaders from across the independent financial services industry came together to discuss critical issues and spent a full day as citizen lobbyists advocating on Capitol Hill.
One of the issues discussed was the DOL proposal to allow Trade Associations to offer group health insurance plans to their members. This would help small businesses compete with large corporations. As well as help independent Financial Advisors or those hoping to become independent, have access to more affordable health care.
